Hubert Lignier Pommard En Brescul

Very pretty wine. Wish I had another bottle. A surprisingly light example of Pommard, both in mouthfeel and color. Ruby/light ruby color. After 20-30 minutes, the complexity was wonderful for a Pommard village level. Layered. Nice cherry flavor core with hints of strawberry - but not too much strawberry. Then comes the tertiary stuff; very nice. Not like other Hubert Ligniers I have had, in the sense that they were more woody or stemmy. That was not the case here. …
