Nice acidity and balance, a good complement to food. Juicy, exhibiting characteristics of both its Cab and Syrah contributions. A little lacking in the complexity department. Enjoyed by the spouse. Drinkable on day 3. 89-90.

Served with easter dinner of braised lamb shanks and potatoes au-gratin. Pretty much PNP with dinner. Fantastic blend of Cab Sauv and Syrah. Loaded with dark fruits, leather, pencil shavings. Perfect acidity. Long finish. Wonderful oak. My only bottle of 08' so now on to the 09's. Outstanding wine!

Deep, dark violet in color. The nose shows black fruits with a hint of spice. Silky smooth tannins and medium plus finish make this a great, easy drinker. Paired very well with some grilled rib eyes! Hard to imagine this will drink better than it is now!

This wine was in its element as a pop and pour wine. Displaying a great balance of fruit and spice, this Cab/Syrah blend popped with a black stain on the cork and a little bit of sediment both on the cork and bottle neck after pouring. The nose was very juicy yet dark black fruit, rather stiff on the front, herbal in the middle with a great lavender and earth tone. The finish was deep, fruity, a little spicy, definitely …

Dark and oaky. Nose is just packed with warm spices, blueberry, mocha and cream. Palate is cocktail-ish with a hot aspect to it, mouth coating blueberry and cherries. Not my style, but everyone else at the table really enjoyed it.

Big, ripe, and really yummy blend. Usually I gravitate away from Syrah blends, but this one is very well balanced and really hit the spot today. Nothing too complex or heady, just a really enjoyable drink.

Bold start with a very nice smell of currant and earth tones, pleasant finish of sweet blackberry or cherry. Would def recommend for special occasions.

Friends and I tasted this at the winery on 2/11/12. It had a strong, ripe bouquet of blackberry, black cherry, mocha and coffee aromas. The palate was big and ripe with flavors that followed the nose.

Very nice press wine. Hope I have patience to hold one for a few years. Give it a hefty recant in the near term.

Nice nose; black fruit and very smooth. As it is just released, it seems as though it would benefit from a couple of years in the cellar to fully develop. Great juice sourced from excellent vineyards...

way to early to drink this. tons of tannins. does show plenty of fruit behind the tannin. lots of plum and blackberry, with hints of many things including espresso and spice box. probably needs two years for the tannins and sediment to settle a bit, but should be very tasty then. drink 2013-2020.

Inky color with dark fruit and spice on the nose. On the palate the black fruit shines through with tar and licorice. The tannins are big which is to be expected for such a young wine but the wine is mouth filling and should get better over the next few years

I like me the Final-Final. I do like the addition of the Mourvedre this year (4%).

Friends and I tasted this at the winery on 7/17/11. It had a fragrant bouquet of blackberry, black cherry, plumb, spice, burnt toast and charcoal aromas. The palate was big, ripe and oaky with flavors that followed the nose. 90+

way too young right now. has heat on the nose with darker tree fruit. palate is very tight with dark fruit profile, fairly bitter now with lots of tannin. in a year or two this should drink well. score based on potential
