Jacques Maillet Altesse Vin de Savoie Autrement Blanc

This is a great wine – last vintage of Maillet before he retired. Typical varietal nose of quince, ripe pear. On the palate, the warm vintage shows, rich mouthfeel with yellow fruit dominating, but enough acidity to counterbalance the richness. The finish has quite noticeable tannins. This is best drunk along (creamy) food or ripe hard cheese. Still has many years ahead.
