Bodegas Santa Rufina Tempranillo Cigales Viña Rufina Joven

A pleasant young Spanish Tempranillo. The six months of new American oak is noticeable and adds complexity (both in cedar/cloves and oxidative notes like walnut/almonds) as does a slight touch of Brett. Not the level of top notch aged Rioja and not concentrated or acidic enough to be age-worthy, but very pleasant with old world charm. Good QPR in my book.
