Dark fruit, trail dust and light oak accents make a wonderfully layered Bordeaux blend. This wine has evolved nicely since my last tasting. Delicious.

Dark berries, pepper, tobacco, fine tannins for a silky mouthfeel yet firm tannins leaves a dry and ‘tight’ finish, which opened up after 2-3 hours of decanting. Had it together with a fruit forward 2018 Penfolds Quantum (innovative blend of Napa CS and top Aus Shiraz). The two bottles beautifully contrasted each other.

Good buy. I think it would surprise people in a blind tasting. It would get a good rating. Under $60.

Decanted for two hours; minimal sediment; deep ruby red color. Intriguing aromas of plums and cedar. Full-bodied, vibrant dark fruits, juicy acidity and integrated tannins on the palate. The finish is long and satisfying. This wine is drinking quite well now, and probably will be for another five to ten years. While the Ferragamo family excels at footwear, handbags and other luxury leather goods, they are doing an admirable job at winemaking, as well.

Superb, especially after a 3 hour decant. Opened up beautifully the next day. Tobacco, spices and cinnamon on the nose. Black and blue berries, leather and beautiful integrated and rounded tannins. Long grip on the palate.

Cigar box, leather, herbs, dark fruits on the nose. Savory with dark fruit and earthiness, graphite on the palate. Medium body/lighter than I expected. 50% Merlot, 35% Cab Sav, and 15% Syrah. Definitely not a Bordeaux, lighter in nature. Needs a 2 hour decant for the fruit to come out. Not an Italian Bordeaux for sure.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry and raspberry. It tastes like strawberry, blackberry and raspberry. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Outstanding right from opening. Long front and mid palate of Blackberry and black currant fruit of great purity that persisted into the finish. Good structure that provided balance. Definitely a new world style in this old world wine.

Bright black cherries and redcurrant, toasted almond, clove and graphite on the nose. Palate has some edge, medium-bodied and tons of acidity in the mid-palate. Some earthy notes and fresh fennel in the finish which is dry and long. Need at least an hour to open up. Will develop for the next 3-5 years.

An outstanding Toscana Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabaret Sauvignon and Syrah. Deep dark cherry red with purple hue in the glass and with lighter red color at the rim. Engaging red fruit aromas of dark cherries, cassis, leather and lovely “earthiness”. On the palate, complex and textured mouthfeel with the wine’s fruit flavors quite expressive. Tannins well balanced with acidity smooth in mid-palate through finish. An excellent Toscana IGT wine! Note: This wine’s luscious fruit flavors become more apparent in …

15.5% abv, big wine, Syrah, merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon blend, lots of flavors, smooth tannins and decent acid, a good wine but not an easy drinker, really pleased a Napa cab drinker, $180 on phoenix restaurant wine list but somm brought it down to $150, drank with assorted Italian food, probably would not drink again as not my style.

Rich ripe black cherry and dark chocolate predominate, along with charred wood and baking spice. Dried red rose petal emerges with time in the glass. Fruit is mostly ripe, with the slightest bit of tartness when initially pouring. Give it at least 30 minutes for the most elegant expression. Acid: M+/H. Tannin: M+, though silky, plush, and beautifully integrated. Body: Full. Finish: Long. Outstanding. Suitable for aging.

Glossy, overextracted, overoaked, alcoholic mess. All of that is a shame because there is some good fruit hiding in there, but the primary impression is sucking on a popsicle stick.

Tre Biccheri Grand Tour (DTLA, los Angeles CA) : The nose shows off a savory side while also showing off balanced tones of dark red cherries, cranberries, raspberries, spice notes, tobacco leaf, pyrazines, and some herbs. There is very good depth with a restrained juiciness to the tones. The Full bodied feel is balanced and robust with tart, medium+ acidity and chewy, medium+ tannins. The structure has some clear youth, but it doesn’t overpower too much. This will certainly need …

Dark coloured and dark in fruit. While it starts with red fruity flavours it evolves into black fruity impressions. The 50% merlot is obviously responsible for the dark cherry and really apparent black plum notes. This is very well made, with all fruit at the correct ripeness, assuring a correct balance. Tannins are well integrated and acids are certainly not dominating. Dry herbs and a spicy note (cloves) are noticeable as well. Towards the finish the high alcohol content (15.5%), …

After a three hour decant the wines was highlighted by blue and red fruit, well integrated wood and a touch of underbrush. The Tuscan terroir speaks clearly here. As good as this wine is today, I believe with three to five years in the cellar will be beneficial. Good juice.
