Geschwister Simon Ayler Kupp Riesling Kabinett

Quite perplexing. Despite 2012 being a racy high acid vintage, and this wine being from an excellent Saar vineyard, this wine comes off as extremely flat. fairly shy on the nose, with no off-flavours....but flat and lifeless. I'm wondering if this might be a result of trying to de-acidify that turned out badly. Unfortunate!
