Drinking so well. Fuller bodied with a lot of dark fruit and black cherry but also some spice box and chocolate. Really well done.

Tolles Trinkfenster erwischt. Gefällt mir noch besser als vor zwei Jahren. Wieder dieses sehr schön eingebundene Holz, dezente Vanille, ganz viel Kirsche, dunkle und rote Sidekicks, Kräuterwürze, Eukalyptus, ein bisschen Balsamico und zarte florale Noten. Ätherisch, erdig, würzig, kräftig, mit filigraner Säure und behutsamem Grip im langen Abgang. Fein und trinkig. War uns ein guter Begleiter zu Spaghetti Bolognese.

Hatten gestern Lust auf Pizza und passenden Rotwein. Mission erfüllt! Lecker Kirsche und tendenziell dunkle Früchte, eine Prise Tabak, Leder und fein eingebundene Holznoten. Mit Luft dann auch Kräuter, florale Anklänge und ein klein wenig Klebstoff. Am Gaumen fruchtig und geschmeidig, kraftvoll aber nicht schwer. Aromen wie Nase, erdig, mit feiner Säurestruktur und seidigen Tanninen. Überaus trinkiger Sangiovese, der inkl. des langen, weichen Nachhalls kaum Wünsche offen lässt.

Perfect match with Marcella Hazan's Bolognese

A fairly bold expression of Montepulciano. Medium to medium + bodied and a darker /purple color. Benefits from a good hour or two decant as it softens and mellows with air. Still has good acidity and vibrancy.

Dark but transparent red purple. Abundant nose of black cherry and graphite. Medium full palate of black cherry, anise, and black cranberry. Firm (medium plus) tannins that soften a bit with air wrapping up medium acidity through the moderate finish. A nicely complex expression of Nobile. Ready for top southern Italian fare or just upgrade more pedestrians fare. Drink now or hold until 2027.

Subtle yet complex notes of cherry, cedar & chocolate. Slightly chewy tannins and sharp acidity but still well balanced. Finishes soft with plum & sweet tobacco. Solid example of vino nobile and versatile with food. A really enjoyable quaffer.

Black cherry, red apple, floral and sweet spice nose. Weighty and significant palate; good flavours with evolving minerality to the finish. 4/5
