Deep ruby color bordering on purple. Cherry with spice on the nose. Dark red cherry and black raspberry on the palate with cinnamon and cedar. Very nice medium body, not overly heavy or sweet like most California pinot but also not thin. Long finish. In a good spot but also seems like it has many years ahead.

Double decanted off its sediment and poured a couple of hours later. Cherry and earth notes on the nose and palate. Picks up spice and cinnamon qualities as well. Very nice, if still on the young side.

Soliste Cellars Tasting (Santa Rosa) : Barrel sample. Made from Dijon 115 clone displaying a dark ruby color. Notes of black cherry, vanilla, spice, clove and perhaps sandalwood; nice complexity and depth. Flavors of pine, cherry, spice and licorice. Lighter; elegant- a style I very much enjoy. 93+ pts.
