Reasonably balanced and flavorful. Not much of focused flavors or intensity.

Smooth and perfect. Good fruit. Dark berry. Cherry. Decent structure. Pepper on the nose.

JUSTIFIED! A seriously wonderful Cab Franc/Merlot that glows as soon as it is uncorked with a delightful floral aroma. Decants easily and drinks well within an hour. Even survived a few days in the fridge. Notes of dark cherry and plum. Limited sediment, excellent cork. A long aging vino that could probably last another decade (easily). ENJOY this perfect vintage from a great Producer.

2007 vintage

Last one of these. Has not done much since last bottle. Still solid with mushroom, licorice and meat notes. Medium bodied. Can last, but don't see much more happening with this.

Seemed thinner than previous Justifications I've enjoyed. Maybe better with time.

Beautiful wine. still lots of dark fruits. well integrated tannins, nicely balanced. I think it probably has a couple of more years left but drink now.

Drank this with Craig in my hotel room in Buellton. Has stood the test of time, with decent fruit in nose and mouth. This note is from memory, so can only estimate 89-90 at this point.

2015 vintage

Smells fruity and a little peppery. Very smooth, berry tasting at first sip, aftertaste of green pepper at the very end, however very brief after taste. Overall a great wine.

Lovely wine. The other notes largely cover it. Drinking beautifully. A 30 minute decant really opened it up.

Tobacco on the nose with leather and spice. Light and thin with cherry and berry flavor. Dry with spiciness on the tongue.

Celebrating our friend finishing his cancer therapy! Cork broke on opening, but happily the wine is fine. Notes of leather and rich roasted fruits, complex and amazing. Wow!

Super ripe but lacking acidity. We waited too long too drink and it was past it’s prime.

Drank with stew and it has held up well considering the age. Tannins are nearly gone but the wine was enjoyable .

Mossy soil with a hint of tar on nose; subtle and thin, with ink and tart berry; finishes with a lovely tartness. Paired with steak and mushrooms added a nice berry and teriyaki current. Slightly disappointing but still good. S: tar and 1 spider basement becomes dry quickly. Complex tannins and not as fruity as anticipated.

2 years since my last bottle, complexity has increased, spiciness has expanded in a good way, dark cherry, vanilla, oak are all present, really drinking well.

Fruit forward with notes of currant and black cherry. A hint of licorice with light pepper, with mild tannins and acid lead to a pleasing finish. 4 Stars.

Wonderful nose of sweet dark fruit with cherry, plum, herbs and smokiness notes. On the palate the flavors on the nose are all present with secondary flavors starting to show through. However, the fruit has faded somewhat - which might be a disappointing to fans of the typically overripe Justin fruit profile. 2002 vintage

Drunk in early 2020, despite the drinking window ending in 2018, this bottle had aged gracefully and was at a stellar point when I opened it. Tobacco and some Brett were enveloping the remaining notes of raspberries and blueberries. Long finish of chocolate mocha. Definitely had a wow effect.

Decent and enjoyable wine, but, doesn't live up to the expectations and complexity of the 2014 Justification (which was a really good year for this wine). Opened up nicely after 3 hours of air.

Lots of dried cherry on the nose, spice box, earth and leather. Even some chocolate covered graham cracker. Fruit forward on the palate, balanced, and a very nice blend.

Enjoyed this bottle a lot more than the last one I had about a year ago. The wine is well made. The Cab Franc was actually a bit less evident now but still present. Medium purple, smooth, medium finish.

Decanted for an hour, nice fruity nose, taste is somewhat complex, with black fruit flavors, medium body, tannins are softened and lush, slightly spicy finish.

A soft melange of raspberry and blueberry fruit with nice oaky vanilla surrounding it. Tannins are faint but just enough to leave a nice finish. Cheers!

A disappointment. At this point should have shown some aged character. Instead the fruit was weak and the mouth feel shallow. 2nd bottle this wine this vintage and previous one had some time ago was noticeably better.

Good bottle good drink. Enjoyable, but probably peaked 3-4yrs ago. Stored at 55. However, this reminded me that I really enjoy ripe picked CabFranc, Merlot or any number of the blends. Strong, enjoyable bottle, if a little simple. Opened up nicely with some air over a couple of hours, but certainly doesn't need more time in the cellar. Juicy and brushy meet in a harmonious middle with this one.

Nice wines though I might have waited to long to drink it. It was definitely past its prime. Good overall though
