Light and bright yellow, seems younger than 2007; shy but precious and iridescent nose, slightly fruity, exotic, tangerine, mango, ethereal pepermint, mineral water, black tea, even a bit of flesh; more intense mouthfeel, medium body, lively acidity, grapefruit and herbs; very long aftertaste driven by its acidity with a slightly bitter but enjoyable finish; very impressive wine, one of the best ever tasted from Saale-Unstrut.

WFA German First Growths Masterclass + others; 10/16/2008-10/18/2008 (Suntec Convention Centre, Singapore) : One of the first few German first growths I have tried and I can see what the fuss is about. This was miles ahead of the Aussie dry style, one can tell why these wines cost more than a Montrachet in the 19th Century. A pale green gold colour. Complex nose of bread, grass and a perfumed, fragrant soap upper register. Rather lovely and aromatic. Great balance …

Wine For Asia 2008 (Suntec City Singapore) : Unlike most sweet german rieslings, this is Germany's take on a dry riesling to rival the top aussie rieslings. The bouquet is wonderfulluy bubble-gummish with sharp bursts of lemon-flavoured perrier. A good character of minerals and slate with a squeeze of lime.
