Bright golden straw in color. On the nose is citrus and a waxy note. Lovely, complex mouthfeel...this has the depth and richness of a really good white burgundy, but where that might turn buttery or creamy, this turns mineral and more fruity. Long finish and good acidity. Really wonderful wine, and I agree, a wonderful value.

An unusual find from thewinetobuy.com is this White Chinon. A 100% Chenin Blanc displaying a delicious pear aroma followed by a succulent and lightly sweet apple flavor profile. A wonderful bargain at $20. Enjoy.

Very subtle and complex aromatics. Palate of slate, and pears and peaches with hints of their stems. A finish that just stays with you. $24.99 OH retail www.austinbeeman.com

One of the most notable wines consumed in the last 12 months. Appearance: clear, medium-lemon. Nose: Clean, medium intensity and developing orchard fruits with a tropical & floral edge and lift. Palate: Dry, medium acidity, medium- alcohol, medium+ bodied, crisp Asian pear, touch of exotics, beautiful ample wet stones, whisper of honey. Lots of depth and nice finish length. Outstanding. Ready to drink but can age. 14% abv. (D 7, F 6; Mariner, Hurley)

It wasn't that great when it was cold. But as it warmed up and paired with fried calamari it was a very good wine.

This wine is golden in color. The bouquet is white florals and honey with a Loire terrior. This wine has depth and viscosity that coats the tongue. This wine is perfect for lighter fair. For the love of Chennin Blanc. EG, #WineArchitect

A real old school edge to this, with berry fruits and some oxidation.

Rich and complex with deep fruit showing lots of hazelnut and white pepper dashed through with white flowers. Impressive depth and complexity. A touch oxidative in style so wont be to everyone's taste, but this is pretty decent stuff and will age. Very good.
