IPNC Weekend 2018; 7/26/2018-8/2/2018 (Linfield College, McMinnville, OR) : Light medium red color. Drank a glass over 30 minutes. Poured from a Jeraboam as Randy worked the grounds at the salmon bake. Another great bottle, maybe not quite as good as the '04 Signature the night before, but damn close. Amazingly complex spices seem to dance across the nose, wow, then the pretty red fruits and floral perfume joins in and mixes with some bacon fat as this keeps on …

Translucent ruby with rust hints. Nose of berry pits, raspberry, earth, brier, violets. Deep-dwelling sweet dark berry on the palate with earth, quenching freshness, brambles, and savory notes. Enlivening acidity and fine grained tannin. Long finish of underbrush and raspberry with slow, satisfying grip. Delicious!

I'm so happy I cellared these bottles. As I had hoped, they evolved beautifully. Still big but more silky and longer in the finish. Deep, ripe black cherry fruit, spice and full bodied with an earthy, barnyard character.

Drinking very well at the moment. Still plenty of fruit but nice secondary more barnyard like flavors as well. Excellent pinot!

From magnum. This is in a great place. Mostly secondary on the nose and the palate but there is still good fruit and spice to support.

Still drinking well. Soft with floral edges. Sad I've only one left.

quick note. this is leaner of fruit than most cristoms, and had a trailing oak tannin on finish. despite this was polished and delicious. very good not great stuff from a difficult vintage

Cloudy ruby; some red bricking around edges. Cherry nose. Lasting finish, although I didn't really care for it. Some tartness. I much preferred the 2006 Cristom Pinot Marjorie. Neutral

Medium crimson, blackberry jam, cherry, allspice and cacao butter on the nose, red currant and mulberry on the attack with spice cherry fruit, mineral notes and firm tannins on the palate, finish shows mushroom, berry fruit, mulling spices and baking soda

Nice bouquet. Slightly cloudy. As noted by other users, time to drink. Slightly brick red around edges. Fruit was waning. Earthy. Typical of Oregon style. Enjoyable.

Popped and consumed over 3 hours. An initial hit of alcohol on the nose that blew off quickly. The bouquet is quite intoxicating with smokey plum notes. Medium viscosity here with peppery almost spicy flavors that nearly overshadow the fruit. Medium-long earthy finish. Definitely enjoyable. Definitely time to drink.

Some brownish hints around the edges and early signs of oxidation masking the nose and flavors - disappointing.

Cool savoury blue fruits with a touch of 5 spice , nice length and a well judged hint of oak - very good but perhaps slightly too much acid for me

91 - rich pinot but still in the Oregon style. Seemed to have just the right age on it. Nice combination of earthiness from the cool 07 vintage but still enough fruit. Drink now.

PnP. While the fruit flavors were a mix of red and dark berries, I also tasted a bit of a green and unripe component which was somewhat unpleasant. Nice, slightly lean, smooth texture with a decent finish. Other than the green component, I liked it a lot.

Visits to Cristom, St. Innocent, Johan, Argyle, Dobbes, Chehalem : Showing very nice today. The aromas are quite perfumed, this smells like a crushed fundip stick. You can definitely sense some of the whole cluster on the aromas. Very nicely structured fruit on the palate, with pleasing balance. Nice structure on the finish. Tart. The whole cluster "flavor" is throughout this wine, and in a very good way. Quite pleasing.

A bit restrained initially on the nose with red berry and strawberry notes. Initally the palate seemed a bit watery but quickly gained weight and intensity with air. A fuller, richer nose emerged to demonstrate the inviting qualities of this wine. Some earth and additional deeper red fruit presented itself with some additional air time. Some spice notes presented themselves and the wine led to a nice lasting finish.

Darkish red color with a hint of purple in there, short legs, clings to the glass. Big nose, strawberries up front - confirmed by my 3 year old daughter who wanted to smell the wine and said it smelled like "soft strawberries". Background of earthiness, in the nose. Ripe red fruit, more strawberries and wet earth on the palate, beautifully rounded - warm but not hot. Very enjoyable. Medium finish, leaves

Aroma: light spice, red licorice Palate: tannic, nice enough wine from supposedly one of the worst vintages

Big nose, jammy strawberries jumping out of the glass with the faintest hint of Oregon terroir. The palate is very forward and with large intensity. Bright strawberries again followed by chalk and stemmy notes. Some alcohol heat does show on the finish but only mildly. Big all-around, but a pretty, tasty wine in this category.
