M by Michael Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon

Opened my last bottle. It has aged beautifully. Very delicate. My notes from last year still hold true today. Very nice bottle of Napa Cab!

Fresh and vibrant. Nice violet and floral aromas. Brick red. Smooth tannins still holding some grip. Dark fruit flavor softened over time. Nicely done.

I am pleasantly surprised how good this bottle is! Reading the reviews I was worried I waited too long. This has been in my cellar for many years. Excellent! It has a lot of life yet. Decanted an hour. Big rich mouth feel, lingering soft tannins. Cassis, blue fruits and berries. Very special elegant wine.

I was really looking forward to this wine and had high hopes for it. Decanted the wine for 1 hour prior to serving. The nose is very elegant on this wine, lots of tertiary characteristics - menthol, dried figs, eucalyptus, but still showing dark blackberries, raspberries, and hints of leather. A year since the last bottle, drank this one in honor of my daughter’s 10th bday. Much better than last year, has reached a perfect drinking window. The tannins are smooth and the fruit is restrained but present as red berries and cassis, tobacco and faint leather on the palate. If it wasn’t a special vintage for us I might be disappointed by the QPR, but if you can forget the price it is a very nice wine.

I must have had a bad bottle the last time I tasted this wine, because this is far, far better. Lots of red berries, menthol, tobacco and eucalyptus. Second bottle. Enjoying this wine a bit more than I anticipated. Robust fruits, reasonable structure and still pleasantly soft. No browning visible at the edges.

Plums and prunes on the nose. Medium bodied. Not typical napa cab. Drier, not as much fruit. Moderate tannins with medium finish. Layers of tobacco and berries. Good wine but not great for price point.

A supple, graceful, harmonious mix of ripe notes of plum, cherry, and black and red licorice, with a hint of espresso,. Full-bodied, showing a silky edge to the tannins early on, yet firming nicely on the finish. Drink now for until 2022

Pretty wine in the glass. Light ruby red with fairly muted notes of cherries, licorice and wet earth. First sip and wow -- how much does this cost? Tastes very much like a $40 bottle you picked up at the local grocery store. Very thin and acidic on the pallet without much in the way of concentration or depth.
