Dark purple with an outer red rim. Nose - dark fruit, vanilla, smoke and pepper Taste - fruit forward of dark berries and plum. Some smoke and a little black pepper Finishes really well and lingers. Tannins are smooth

Very good with some smoky notes but also a sweetness. Not a huge syrah fan but nice tannin presence and fairly deep, though almost feels that aging will help broaden further. When dish calls for syrah pairing, this is a good choice
