Una maravilla. Ahumado, buen cuerpo con color mora intenso, aroma a cerezas negras, arándanos y moras, chocolate amargo, café. Baja acidez, algo de astringencia, seco. Vino elegante y divertido con varios cambios en el paladar hasta llegar a un final largo que pasa por toques frutales terminando en notas cremosas

Took to a Brazilian steakhouse for a friend's birthday party (at least the same continent). Good full bodied accompaniment to the meats on offer. Medium-full bodied palate, good leather and smoke to go with the fruit.

James Suckling - Great Wines of the Andes (The Presidio, SF) : Neutral aromatics. Structured with a decent finish. Dense black fruit on the palate. Good acid and tannins and high alcohol. Finish is a bit brief. Maybe needs age?

Clear medium (+) ruby with purple hues. Minimal signs of aging, with thick, glass-staining legs. The nose is clean, medium (+) in intensity and developing, with aromas of ripe blackberry, black cherry, baking spices, mint, licorice. The nose is developing. The palate is dry, but with nice sweet fruit, medium (+) acidity, medium (+) alcohol (14.5%) and medium (+) tannins. The palate is consistent with the nose, and still quite youthful. Opened for World Malbec Day (why not?!). Over-oaked for my palate, in a way that clashed with the inherent bitterness of the grape, rather than round it out.

Great wine. Deep violet, lush nose of ripe plum and blackberry. Primarily fruit-forward, typical Pulenta, but nice subtle oaky vanilla and tight acidity with a long finish.

Nice. A bit early but got wet during flood in basement. Enjoy.

Pris en dégustation avec conseillers de la SAQ dans le backstore...Gros vin rustique et asséchant. Au nez, de la vanille, de la fumée et du cassis. En bouche, corsé et dense avec peu d'acidité. Fruits noirs et tannins assèchants. ...à attendre mais avec sa faible acidité, pas encourageant.
