It had good acid / flavors slightly muted / chilled in wine bucket - maybe too cold. Good chard but not my fav Aubert recently / hmmm

Full bodied smooth Chardonnay. Buttery but in good way. Not overdone. Powerful ripe lemons.

Another great bottle. I prefer Aubert Chardonnays with a bit more age and this bottle would be better suited to my taste with a few more years in the cellar. Right now the '13's and '14's are in the sweet spot for me. But based on my own experience and the recent notes below, a lot of these '19 Lauren's are going through premature oxidation. I should just let the rest of my bottles age. They are either going to …

White peach, lemon citrus, a significant touch of oak, vanilla, butterscotch candy, marzipan, baked almonds, biscuits, a sturdy structure, and the strong character of oak makes it feel a bit unbalanced.

Oddly -- this bottle showed signs of premature aging, some flaccidity and not nearly as impressive as last time I tasted thiis wine.

Rich, delicious citrus fruit with pine nut and vanillia flavors, excellent structure, ample acidity, long finish, one of the best Aubert Lauren chardonnays

Phew!! Last bottle was oxidized and I was concerned my others would be as well, especially after the review from Richnstacy below. That was not the case with this bottle. Excellent and exactly what I expect from Lauren. I have 5 more bottles and plan to open my next soon.

I love this wine. Subtle on the nose, but taste powerful and elegant at the same time. Flavors or cantaloupe, lychee and pears. Complex with a long finish with a great texture. Minerals are subtle for Aubert, but just a very elegant yet powerful and beautiful wine.

Mild premature oxidation. Disappointing. Based on the previous note, and our experience, you might want to drink up.

My cellar is filled with a lot of 2019 Aubert Chardonnays. Somehow I resisted the temptation to open one as I prefer them with at least 6 years of age (longer for the Laurens). Until now. After holding on to this bottle for 4 years, I took a cue from Blondie and decided that "the time is right." Popped the cork and . . .no...no...no...Premox'd. Dark color, caramel and stewed fruits. Never experienced this with an Aubert before. Recently had …

A Remarkable Wine Evening with Atlanta Oenophiles at Brasserie Margot (Atlanta, GA) : Tasted at the "Out of Towners' Dinner" at Brasserie Margot in the Four Seasons Atlanta. Given the rapid succession of wines at this social event, I wrote down only my score and some brief notes. This highly regarded California Chardonnay was served too warm, which unfortunately emphasized its bitterness despite the underlying complexity. The high acidity remained prominent, but the improper serving temperature likely masked many of …

The richest, most intense dry white wine I can remember. Decanted 2 hrs. Beautiful fruit flavors of pear, melon and lemon with great balance and acidity. Minimal if any oak.

Crazy NVD Chard from Aubert. Classic Aubert juicy yellow fruit and has all the bones of a classic Aubert Chardonnay without the finesse of Sugar Shack , Hyde, CIX, Powder House, Park Ave, or Lauren that set those SVD Chards apart. A very nice wine when you just want a taste of what Aubert can deliver at a (more) affordable price. This was a 2019 ... A bit forgotten in the cellar.... Until tonight 🤣. Drink now.

Similar rating to the Eastside consumed in close proximity, but this is lighter on its feet, the oak is a little less obvious to me, and it is overall a bit more refined and balanced. Looking forward to following the upside here.

Complex aroma - tropical fruit, pineapple, mango, lemon, oak. Rich, dense, viscous and concentrated flavor with loads of tropical fruit, nuttiness (macadamia?) and creaminess. There is an initial hint of sweetness that morphs into mouthwatering fruit flavor, then the perfectly balanced acid and mineral backbone carries the lengthy finish. Incredibly smooth and well balanced. Incredible. Decant at least 2 hours - this wine needs time to open up. Drinking really well right now but a long life ahead.

This wine really was in the wheelhouse. A nice, full-bodied robust California Chard. Aubert yellow juicy fruit. I'm very happy with this wine, and I think it was the right time to open it. Had about a one hour decant including time in decanter and time in the glass. Didn't really go that well with the scallop carbonara but it was a very good wine by itself. Aubert whites are just so massive that they are almost made to be …

A bit of an oaky bruiser on first pouring, then increasingly soft. Caramel from the oak, but also plenty of green fruit, and (with air) some Mediterranean herbs. Zippy, mouthwatering acidity to counteract the rich oak. It's a good wine, absolutely, but I felt it didn't own it's style in the same way as some other top Cali Chardonnays (e.g. Kongsgaard, Ramey Hyde).

Brought to tonight's wine event by Jay @Bleu Provence......not sure if any decant time. Chilled perfectly. Nose immediately recognizable as an Aubert. Beautiful white florals, lemon cream and vanilla on the nose and palate. Impeccable balance. Toyed with giving it a 97 but it seemed to tone down just a tad with more airtime. Solid 96. Thanks, Jay!

Decanted two (2) hours. Rich golden color. Offers array of combined orchard and tropical fruit aromas. Golden apple, pear, pineapple, mango combined with wisps of honeysuckle & baking spice. Provides lithe presence on the palate gliding effortlessly along as it winds its way to a long lip-smacking finish. A simply marvelous chardonnay that can be enjoyed now but should reward for a decade or longer.

First of our Aubert purchases that we've opened, Really wonderful and expressive "sonoma coast" blend, we drank before the 2021 Pinot Noir fall release, just to remind us of the Aubert quality. Really delicious chardonnay for $65. Wonderful texture, acidity pops out after some air. We love it.

Just opened my recent allocation. Popped and Poured (PnP). Immediate aromatic notes of wood and green honeysuckle just getting ready to burst from the bottle. I did not decent so notes are immediate (within 15 min) I get in mouth flavors of acidity and underdeveloped fruits. This wine is way to young to open. Numerous notes of white fruits and green plum which make this oh so maddening that I even opened it. The wine is in charge and demands …

Decanted for about 2.5 hours and then I dove in. Lovely wine, certainly needs at least 2.5-3 hours of decanting to get started as other commenters mentioned. Enticing notes of white fruits and green plum. It's fun to taste this wine back to back with a fresh Japanese cucumber: The wine becomes smoky and takes on an agave-type character reminiscent of a fine mezcal. But this is still an Aubert Chardonnay: oaky and commanding. Delicious. Drink now with proper decanting …

The correct rating for this wine is NR...but today was probably a 91 based on how it drank. Very young wine. But has all the bones. Sharp acidic character but has a nose of youthful yellow juicy fruit and great structure amd balance that Mark Aubert et Al are famous for!. This wine had two family members today who told me "I don't drink white wine" reaching for the bottle so that they "could try a little bit more" 😂. …

I knew this was too early to try but had to give it a taste. It was my first bottle of Aubert. Have quite a few single vineyards laying down but thought WTH and popped this one open. Decanted for 1.5hrs. Tons of oak and not meshing well with the fruit right now. Stone fruit, lemon, mineral, butterscotch/Werthers. Long finish and really opened after about 3 hrs. High acidity. Has tons of promise for the future. Definitely going to wait …

It is well crafted but the oak and fruit are not integrated yet and it was far too early to drink. It had nice pear and butterscotch notes but some really sharp elements and I scored it for how it showed today. I suspect with at least several more years it will be much better

Decanted to serve. Rich and buttery with vanilla and tropical. For a cali pinot, it was very balanced and precise without any overwhelming oak or fruit. Probably the most burgundian chardonnay I had from US. It drank like a ripe vintage PM 1er cru.

Tremendous wine even at 13 years. Plenty of sediment to attest to this. At open it had an aromatic nose of roses and peaches. The flavors were a little closed so I set aside for a couple of hours. Began to open up and first flavors were apple and limestone dust. Fabulous mineral mouth feel. Fairly long finish.

So refined like a Grand Cru burgundy, which I am sure it would be identified as in a blind tasting; so sophisticated and balanced with delicate fruit. I love the way Aubert wines can age so gracefully.

I found this lost in the cellar. Wow! This is the real deal. Inviting nose. Color still looks quite pale and young. Really great entry. A big, but extremely balanced Chard. Apples and stone fruits. Great minerality in the finish. My only knock is a small bit of unresolved oak in the finish. This is light-years ahead of where it was on release. Stunning!
