Deep purple color. First tastes are of blackberries, black current and vanilla quickly followed by old oak and tobacco. The fruit carries through the finish. The finish is accompanied by a nice balance of alcohol and grippy tannins. Decanted around 60 minutes. Should have decanted for 90 to 120 minutes. This wine got a lot better as dinner progress (and after). I was at a 92 and wife was at a 93. I was moving higher as we finished off …

Very smooth and perfect with steaks. Open at least two hours before drinking. Decent finish.

Deep ruby. Medium+ nose of tobacco and earth. On the palate medium acidity high alcohol, high tannin, full body. There is an umami factor which drives it reminiscent of braised pork belly. Dark chocolate, cinnamon, cassis. Higher alcohol than I generally prefer but it doesn't get in the way. Pair with red meat or a cigar. Likely entering its prime but certainly no rush on it.

Elegant and smooth showing inviting aroma of blackberry jam, riped cherry, plum and cedar. Full bodied, low acidity and velvety tannins. Was expecting a more structured wine at that price point. Agree with the comment regarding Caymus drinkers who would enjoy that offering. For my taste it has too much oak influence; which denature the wine. NI:4, FC:21, FC:8, B:3, L:4

Blackberries and spices. Beautiful. Shelley’s favorite (along with the Ehlers Estate),

This wine is deep ruby red with tinges of purple. The nose is all back fruit – blackberry, plum, black currant a whiffs of vanilla and oak. The fruit forward taste washes across your mouth followed by solid integrated tannins with a dark chocolate taste with a finish that is accompanied pleasing warmth of the alcohol. All of the components of a great wine are there, nicely balanced and blended. We drank this wine as part of a blind Cabernet …

Drank over two days, didn't change much. This is a lovely, full-bodied Napa Cab with notes of chocolate, mixed berries, grainy tannins, earth. There are many similar wines that cost much more.

This wine has a great future ahead of it. Tightly wound, but opened up over a couple days of drinking. Lots of black fruits, wet stone, and some floral qualities backed by some strong tannins. Will leave my next two bottles alone for a couple of years or more and look forward to even better days

Here’s a Napa Valley Cabernet that’s worth your time. At a whopping $90 this competes with wines 3-4 times its’ price. Obviously one gets scents of vanilla and oak, but also a good amount of berries and a conifer like pine tree complexity emerges. Taste wise I get berries, vanilla, herbs, coffee and a bacon fat flavour. It’s very well integrated, almost velvety while keeping a good amount of acidity and tannin. I’d say this is a bargain of a …

Lighter fruit on the nose, tastes of strawberries, vanilla and spice. Medium to strong tannins with a medium body/mouth feel. Could probably cellar a bit longer and smooth out the finish. Still pretty tight even after decanting for a few hours. Will drink again in 6 months to a year. 90-92 rating.

Dark red color. Has tons of room to grow. Dark fruits, light smoke and cedar, with hints of cassis and pencil shavings. Medium body, strong tannins and nice finish in its youth
