11*14 Cabernet Sauvignon

Smells of baked bread, tobacco, and chokecherry/blackberry. The chokecherry jam flavor is there at mid palate and finish as well. Tannins are chaulky but pleasant. Tasting well now, can evolve further with no risk of failing for 5+ years.

For some reason this started singing, possibly the other bottles were opened too young. Nice well rounded cabernet with good structure and a medium/long finish.

Had one of these more than a year ago, didn't write it up, and it was hot and fruity and not much else. As before, I'm afraid....

An absolutely terrible wine. Worse then the last bottle by far and I actually decanted this for 90 minutes to give it its best chance. I heard this comes from two restauranteurs (ArtFarm?) that decided to make their own wine for their restaurant. I hope their culinary skills are better then their winemaking skills (or whoever they used as a consultant). A pleasant wine, if not a bit jammy and hot right now. Maybe I should have let the bottle shock of shipping die down a little before I opened, but not a ton of nose right off the bat, and the cork was barely inked. Very heavy, “high end” feeling bottle fwiw. Wine had nice legs in the glass and good body, but again very very fruit forward, with spice and alcohol on the end. Low tannins as well. Wine …
