Domaine de la Jasse Quintessence

Dark, powerful looking wine. Nose a bit soupy but blackcurrants to the fore. Not sure what the blend is here but it seems a bit of cross between a CdR and a new world Bdx blend. In the mouth, smooth, dark and powerful. Lacking a bit of acidity, adding to a jammy/soupy melange in the black fruit range. Still and all, at this age, it seems to be settling down and there are some secondaries emerging; tar, smoke and fennel. …
