What can you do differently with Zin? Age it in concrete of course! This is a delicious fruit bomb from Lodi that is a little less hot then some of their counterparts but still big at 15.5 alcohol. My recommendation is to open it the day before you want to drink it for a few hours… then cork back on and in the fridge. Did that and it was smooth as butter.

Way too ripe. Jammy fruit with out-front dill/pine from the American oak that hasn't (and maybe never will) integrate. Probably my least favorite of the ten zins present.

I tasted this at Total Wine and liked it, so I bought a bottle. This bottle didn't taste anything like what I had a Total Wine. This bottle was sour, acidic, and every sip burned my tongue. I would never have purchased a bottle of wine that tasted this bad. Tried to like it, gave it some air time, ended up dumping it. Waste of money.

Family Winemaker's 27th Annual Tasting San Francisco, nose of lovely, rich fruit, touch of plum and heat, same on the palate, medium body, opened quickly from nice to terrific, tasty, almost mouth filling flavor, probably higher score merited in 2 years cellar time, medium/long finish.
