Not sure i am found of these types of wine anymore. Colour is very orange. There is a bit too much acidity compare to ripeness and fat. Maybe i waited too long to open it.

wow! Finally I can undestand the buzz about this wine. I tried this 4 years ago and was a bit lost. Now, I tried again and really loved this one. Great nose, finally was able to imagine that I'm drinking red (Pinot Noir :-) ) and adjusted my brain right. Last time I struggled with the fact that white tastes like this. Good time to drink now. I don't believe it will get any better. Bottle was opened about 1h …

electric banana yellow with green highlights, wild nose with apple, citrus peel, faint mountain cheese, beer yeast and licorice. Full mouth feel on entry but then becomes almost weightless with a dry finish. Excellent acidity. It settles down with time in the glass and warming. Much more sedate and food friendly after 45 minutes. Delicious at all points, but I think I liked it best right out of the bottle. Seems young, so who knows what will happen with more …

A little bit better as the Morei, but also not that freshness you expected

A single-vineyard Nosiola, fermented and macerated with the skins for 8 months in clay tiñajas, after which the wine is moved to marry in old acacia barrels for a few months. 12% alcohol. Moderately deep and concentrated lemon yellow color with faint green highlights. Expressive, complex and quite powerful nose with aromas of developed nuttiness, some acacia honey, a little bit of wizened yellow stone fruits, light tangerine marmalade tones, a hint of wild waxy character and an understated touch …

Definitely on the funky side of the wine spectrum. Fairly yeasty on the first pour. Took a bit for it to settle down.

Very dense purplish ruby, looks quite young considering its age. Nose of blueberry plus raspberry compote and just a hint of milk (and my wife says there is a note of scorched rice going on). Surprising because it’s not aged in wood, but in terra cota amphora vessels. Medium plus bodied, and again medium plus tannins, high acidity, pretty dry. Freshly fruity but minus sweetness. A bit like sugarless, somewhat bitter blackberry juice. First impression is 91/100, next day 88+/100.

A hint of Timorasso-like textural density, but with time in the glass it opened out into a very complex white, with no hint of showing its age

SLDS October 2017 : Golden yellow coloured, with a slight cloudy element. Mango, stalks, lemon rind, musk and lychee. Fantastic texture with phenolics and rich fruit playing well together, plenty of interest and length on this. Unexpected and compelling.

So nice! Open nose with raspberry, Blackberry and an earthy touch tone. On the palate Blackberry, raspberry and blackcurrant, a very intense fruit with a bit of Cocoa In the aftertaste. Strong but well rounded tannins and a distinct acidity. Very well balanced and a low alcool level (12.5%) making it even more impressive.

Wow! Give it some air, it will open up beautifully... Aroma's of honey, honeysuckle and floral notes, a little note of passionfruit, marsepain, toast, hazelnuts (roasty), lots of mineral accents, a little bit of sandalwood (not sure if this had oak), and earthy smell of the terracotta amphorae. Also an amazing potential for cellaring. Complexity is very high, price quality = superb

This is a one perfect wine in its own style, and I love it. Densely packed fruits (mostly dark rather than bright) No obtrusive oak or human intervention Great purity and definition in its flavor profile. Pure yet powerful, Dense yet expressive, Bold yet balanced. Screaming with real raw power and class. (and style)

Deep hazy straw yellow. Nose of overripe quince, spiced orange, mineral. Echoed on the palate with some mild tannins on the finish. Full-bodied with medium acidity. Great intro to Italian orange wines.

Giallo intenso traslucido, vivo e invitante.

Tolles Toreldego-Statement

An orange wine for people trying these wines for the first time. No oxidation, and a lot of stone. This wine is full, full, full and doesn't focus on fruit. Lovely wine.

12.5% abv. Dark ruby. Nose that is a mix of florals and blackberries, with a bit of baking spice. Some fruit there but not ripe. Nicely balanced. Noticebale tannins and mouth watering acidity. Quite lively, complex and long. Reminds me of a Baudry cab franc. Me like, me like...

Took a little bit but once open it got together and gave the mineral, salt, lemon, stone thing. If you like that, which I do, it is rather delicious.

As with the Morei, I like this a lot. Similar effusive blackberry nose, similar fruit on the palate with great acidity and balance, earth/mineral flavors, light tannin, moderate ABV. What's not to like?

The bottle was tasted three times over four days. Like the 2010 Morei it is a deep-coloured and intense wine, with beautiful purity and a bit reticent aromatics of dark berries; moderately chewy, ripe and quite acidic taste. The last glass was clearly the best, so I guess it has considerable potential for ageing. It does not quite show the aromatic complexity of a nebbiolo wine, but imagine a Barolo made in this style ...

Pale yellow color. Aromas of sweet honeydew/cantaloupe. Flavor: Sour lemon zest and underlying melon sings in the background. Serious minerality gives it weight, and nice acidity. Bone dry finish with lingering spice(white pepper). An interesting and more serious alternative to rose, perfect for a hot night.

Mineralsk og floral. Kalk, leire, blomster, litchi, hvit fersken, kjørvel og rå/uristet hasselnøtt. Subtil, men kompleks. Slank og elegant i munnen. Lys, konsentrert, ren frukt og flott friskhet. Massevis av salter i en lang og forfriskende avslutning. Krever litt, men gir mye. Inspirerende! 91p.

Vin remarquable de la sélection, plus précis que les Foradori et Granato à mon goût, toujours puissant et structuré mais il s'ouvre un peu sur les fruits rouges sucrés, très suaves, c'est en devenir mais très attirant, à noter donc.

Loved this wine. Great back story. Put together by Elisabetta Foradori who focuses on obscure Italian varietals. I've had her Teroldegos and they are great. This is the nosiola grape normally blended. Also created in amphora. Medium body, the stone flavor often associated with amphora wines, but in this case not slathered on. The fruit of lemon and lychee comes through well. Medium finish. Clean wine with delineated flavors. Loved it.
