Nose: Simple, raspberry/strawberry, hint of oak. Palate: Smooth, easy drinking wine. Good mouthfeel and decent finish. Nothing to write home about.

Brought to the SEA CT tasting of Pinot's - my #9 of 9. Very acidic and manufactured; picked it out of the crowd on the single blind tasting.

The capsule was weirdly puffy, and although the top of the cork was slightly wet, there wasn't anything I could really call leakage. Very long soft cork, the whiff of the bottle top was really vinegary, not at all promising. Clear tawny apple-red, and fortunately in the glass was a modest nose of barely-ripe red and black berries and a little oak. The palate is similar but distinctly mineral, very pleasant and a bit more full than I noted previously. …

Very pale pink/brick red, beautiful raspberry and fine herbs on the nose, what I expect from a pinot. RaspBerries in the mouth complex but unfortunately drank too quickly to really savoir and take notes. Definitely a great wine made in the Burgundy style, and definitely QPR in comparison with their French cousins. Nothing to do with the steriodes version of pinot noir that I'd normally associated with North America. Pity I don't have more, but greatly appreciated.

Cork was quite wet on the edges and started to leak a little bit. Quite clear and translucent red/orange in the glass. Very expressive earthy nose. Fair amount of (good) brett and a sour strawberry/cherry notes.

Very perfumed nose and sweet fruit in the mouth on opening, but the more air it got the more a sour cherry, dry leaf taste dominated. Quite clear and translucent in the glass.

Light and earthy with some secondary characteristics. Far better than the previous bottle, but nothing special, like a meh Oregon Pinot. 86-88.

Delicious wine. Very pale, light strawberry, dark orange notes on the rim. Very fragrant, unmistakably pinot with soft strawberry fruit with cherry and dried leave hints. Nicely balanced on the palate, good acidity balances sweet yet sour strawberry and currrant fruit. Really nice long finish.

A light pale red, crystal clear, very pretty colour. Very light nose of cherry. Bottle was left open for four hours, dry light bodied, crisp and clean, well balanced flavors of red berries and smooth tannins. I really liked it, better than similar priced Burgundy for the most part and a nice change from the California boys.

- Crimsom color - Light color, but great flavors. Nose of cherry and watermelon. Clean finish. Very enjoyable, particularly as a break from California pinots.

Thin red color, with a tad of orange. Flavors and nose more pronounced than the color, with barnyard funk strawberry notes and decent follow through. Enjoyable, but nothing I would search out (I liked their chard much better).

Not bad on the nose, uninspiring color, faint strawberry and red plum. Nothing to say I had better get another glass before it’s gone. Open something else.

Easily pegged as a cool-climate pinot noir, dark strawberry color, ripe berry nose, zingy palate, almost like a very tannic rose, finishes a bit short and tart, overall very clean and seemed to have more stuffing the second day. Needs lighter fare to accompany, or really just fine alone.

Old world. A little stinkified nose. Quite enjoyable. Not sure it is worth the money. Many better examples from NZ

Burgundian style. Red fruits with high acidity. Somewhat tart finish but good flavor overall. For fans of the style.

While this shows some nice sweet fruit on opening, with a bit of air it quickly transitions to dried leaves, earth, sour cherries, and rust, but in a good way, if you like that sort of thing (which I do!). Good acidity and tannins on the palate. Quite tasty, but not profound (except for the fact that this came from .ca).

I'm reluctant to score this because the streaky, soft cork and lack of definition suggest this might have been damaged along the way. However, I find many of the same notes as ColinR did, only I think this is utterly terrible wine. A little earth and cherry on the nose is all you get, and it never opens up. The palate is thin and tastes over the hill, and the finish, such that there is one, is one long, boring …
