Lodi Zinfandel Tasting - Old Vine v. Not-So-Old Vine : Ruby color with promising cherry, bramble and spice aromas. On the palate it's medium-bodied with very good acidity, and cherry, cranberry, and spice flavors. Medium finish.

Was recommended to me as an alternative to Turley Zin being a lower price point. Initial decanting of 2 hours wine was a bit sweet, left if for another two hours was much better, evened out. My wife did enjoy it. Not bad but as an alteternative to Turley not even close.

This zin had a nice tart cranberry note with loads of spice and hints of strawberry and red raspberry jams. Not a big, concentrated zin by any means, but the palate exhibited too much heat. Likely better with another 2-3 years of bottle age.
