My Perfect Birthday Party (The House of DQ) : Not sure who opened this one--it was in the wines I put out for the non-winos. No disrespect to this wine, but it is always a crowd pleaser and great for the spouses who don't like the 'stinky older' wine. This is everything you would expect from an SV Sojourn PN. Drinks more like a cab with it's big fruit but has some nice Christmas spices that make it distinctive.

Keeps getting better. Sure sign that Wohler Pinots can age. The earth and mushroom are just starting to really show their stuff. Medium bodied with medium acidity. Beautiful now. Black cherry on the palate followed by forest floor, mushroom and some tar. Quite good now, but can go another 5 years.

PnP for a Thursday dinner. First sips were dominated by a bit of alcohol and acidic effervescence. 30-60 minutes later, this smoothed out with rich dark cherries, strawberries and a bit of loam and spices. Nice representation of a RRV Pinot at a reasonable price

Hmmmm, methinks I should have bought more of these '19 Sojourn pinots than I did...... Another very nice bottle from this Ridgetop vineyard. Loads of sweet red fruit and the requisite Sojourn spicebox barrel treatment. Just very well put together, rounded and balanced very nicely. So dependable year in and year out. (well, except for the bad fire years!)

Opened for a Science of wine tasting course, didn’t realize we needed a Pinot so it was the first thing I grabbed from the cellar. Personally I would have preferred to wait but it was delicious in its youth. My husband loved it so much I barely had a glass of it. Big and fruity, silky smooth tannins, nice acidity, the whole package is there.

Love this wine. Great black cherry nose, opens up nice with lite tannins and full fruit. Great color and legs. Finishes strong.

Young and not ready when it comes to this vineyard. Medium-light bodied. Medium plus acidity. Hints of mushroom and forest floor. Needs time to develop. This bottling is always better after a couple of years. Good now, but needs time.

Medium-light body. Lighter than usual. Medium plus acidity. Bright cherry fruit. Perhaps time will help bring through some secondary flavors.
