Monthly tasting club LTC 2019-04: Cabernet Sauvignon worldwide (@ MvG) : Dark berries and oak in the bouquet. On the palate juicy dark berries like blackberries, firm acidity and sticky tannin. Full bodied and still very primary wine. For now 88+

Intense cherry and dark fruit with a smooth and complex finish. A mouthful of intense fruit with nice tannins at the end. Excellent value!

Primary aromas of raspberry, cherry and currant. A bit closed at first not giving away too much, but opens up after a while revealing secondary aromas of liquorice, coffee and cream. Dark fruits are more present on the palate and it becomes herby in the finish. I find this wine very pleasant; it’s juicy and easy drinking but still has that focus that gives it complexity. Soft and mildly rounded tannins and well integrated oaky flavors.

Nothing interesting (see previous note)????? Okay, tastes differ. To me, this is a really interesting wine. The nose promisses what the taste delivers: plum, fig and tobacco. It is seductively smooth and velvety rich which lingers on for quite a while. The initial sweetness (black cherry jam) gradually gives way to the structure of good acidity and tannins. A complex wine that is beautiful to drink right now. Subtle, balanced, complex.
