Decanted 1hour, personally cellared since 2/2012, 9th bottle tasted of case. Wow this was good, has aged quite graciously. Incredible amounts of sweet kirsh, raspberry, plum, dark cherry, meaty, fully integrated but enough fruit so this will hold for several more years. Paired so nicely with pistachio crusted rack of lamb.

Decat 1hr, once again another excellent showing from this underrated producer, great fruit, kirsh is noticeable, certainly meaty notes, great balance and should easily last another five years but drinking well now with an extended decant.

Another nice showing, herbal nose with floral notes, nicely balanced palate with equal amounts of fruit, kirsh, raw meat, herbs, integrated tannins, drinking well now with several years of life ahead. Delicious with a rare filet!

Decanted 1hr, this CDP was quite good, paired with marinated grilled flank steak, grilled veggies, very nice accomplement. The nose was full of herbal notes, some tea and hints of raw meat. The palate also carried a bounty of herbal notes, blood, plum, cherry and everything was in near perfect balance. This CDP was ready to go with a good decant but has the structure to last and even improve for several more years.

Forward, open and ready for drinking, the wine is soft, round and delivers a ripe, sweet, kirsch, black raspberry, thyme, smoke and spicy taste. This is not a wine to lay down for much more aging.

2.5 hours of decanting and needs every minute of it. Dark dark cherry. Slightly chewy. Notes of plum, redwood, and pine. Was hoping it would even out more over time, still remains tight.

Decanted 2 hours, been slightly over a year since last tasted. Did not get the alcohol/heat that others have indicated at least this bottle, which is loaded with kirsh, cherry, plum, meat, hints of green veggies which added complexity. This bottle was the best showing of the previous 3 and plenty of room for improvement or use an extended decant. Nice!

A bit too hot for my liking. Lacking some spice and grip that would balance it a bit better. Go for bold food here. Hard to believe time will make this more integrated, probably just will accentuate the pruney overripeness.

Bright ruby red color immediately demonstrates the youth of this wine. Nose of cherries and perhaps strawberries. Fairly sweet red fruit on the attack, some spiciness, medium bodied, a bit hot though very approachable and fruit forward. A pleasant, if 1-dimensional wine though sure to be a crowd pleaser. Some bottle age would no doubt aid and perhaps add some subtlety.

Gleaming clear and quite pretty ruby red. A rich and broad wine that manages to be bright at the same time. Red fruits, cherry, strawberry and raspberry mingle nicely in a bed of sweetness. Medium finish. Really needs a beef stew or similar to show at its best.
