Bottle variation is quite notable; we consumed 2 bottles and they were quite different from each other, but both were earthy and very delicious. First was heavy on Grenache - wild roses, tart strawberries and rhubarb; and the second was heavy on Mourvedre - black fruit, spice, road tar and bitumen notes. This wine’s killer. Red fruit grenache that’s light on its feet (for a CDP) with a finish that lasts and lasts. Great acidity and balance. Excellent.

Flowers, red and black cherries, kirsch and plums are all over the place here. On the palate the wine is medium/full-bodied, earthy and fresh. There is lift, depth of flavor and a strong sensation of black pepper, crushed rocks, stones and sweet, lively red fruits with a touch of chocolate in the finish. From vines close to 120 years of age, the old-vine intensity defines the wine. Drink from 2024-2040.
