Vegetal, sour, hot, and thin. Nothing redeeming in this one.

3+10+12+4+50=79 - Average very light ruby red color...lots of earth and forest on the nose, with some fruit peeking through...lots of soft fruit on the palate, but lacking acidity

Hmmm...Very light colored wine as it was poured in the glass. At first it was very tannic and frankly (for me) not drinkable. There was almost a metallic smell on the nose. It definitely smoothed out in 20-30 minutes and then was only decent. Faint smell of strawberry, but still pretty challenged on the nose. Deep, violet-garnet; still translucent, though. Sort of a murky nose. Hot. Earth, spice. Lots of acidity and decent tannins, too; mouth-puckering from both. Sour cherry, leather, plum, raspberry. Good fruit, but not a fruit bomb. Well-balanced. I'd like a bit more body and a stronger finish; the finish is tasty (clove, black pepper) but a bit short. A good QPR.

Really nice wine for 8 bucks with alot going on. Starts off with spicy strawberries, and raspberry jam. on the nose there is some anise or perhaps even caraway, the afore-mentioned fruit and a good bit of bell pepper. Only real drawback is a little to much lingering heat. Very enjoyable
