Decanted for 15 minutes and a much more enjoyable bottle than our previous on 7/30/22 - indicating that that bottle may have been a one-off. The color was a clear medium plus yellow. There were notes of white fruit, minerality, lemon citrus and a touch of floral on the nose. The medium to plus bodied palate showed more white and stone fruits (white peach, pear and apricot), along with lemon, minerality, and nicely balancing acidity. The finish was medium plus. …

Costa d'Amalfi Fiorduva è un blend di tre vitigni su piede franco e poco conosciuti: fenile, ripoli, ginestra. Viene fermentato in barrique.

No time to decant so PnP, chilled. The second glass was better than the first confirming the need to air this wine out. Overall, a bit less enjoyable than our previous bottle some 8 months ago as this bottle seemed a bit tired and aged. The color was darker = a clear medium yellow-gold. The nose was not as expressive = only some melon and citrus. On the medium bodied palate the flavors were a bit muted = some white …

Ripe yellow fruits and honey in the bouquet. Same on the palate, orange zest, good acidity and some bitterness. Not a very good qpr.

I tend to like lean, elegant, and mineral white wines, like Chablis. This is not such a wine, but it is amazing. Captivating aromas of white flowers, oranges, mangos, and other dried and tropical fruits. One of those “smell the empty glass” wines. Almost a dessert wine aroma profile, yet quite dry, with vibrant acidity that carries through into a long finish. The aftertaste reminds me of Sauternes. Superb!

Needs a while to open up, but when it does the nose shows great complexity still dominated by primary and secondary notes even after 10 years: apricot, citron peel, cream, honey, honeysuckle and hints of jasmine, wet stones and pineapple. Round and refreshing on the palate, we’ll structured body and very long finish of apricot, citrus, honey and a mineral note to close.

Based on my previous TNs, I decided to give this bottle more air. It was decanted for 15 minutes and benefitted greatly. The color was a clear medium yellow. There were notes of white fruit, minerality and lemon citrus on the nose. The medium to plus bodied palate showed more white and stone fruits (white peach and pear), along with lemon, minerality, and nicely balancing acidity. The finish was medium plus. Based on my previous TN, I slo-oxed this bottle for 20 minutes, chilled. A deeper yellow color than our previous bottle. Notes of white fruit, minerality and lemon citrus on the nose. The medium to plus bodied palate showed more white/stone fruits than the previous, along with lemon, minerality, and nicely balancing acidity. The finish was medium plus. Overall, this bottle was more expressive than our previous bottle, so maybe a bit more air helped it to come alive. Should …

Really pleasant and refreshing. Easy to drink but not forgettable. Had a sauv blanc quality, but more easy drinking. Not tart or bitter or grassy, rather it had citrus, sea air, and white peach.

Slo-oxed for 10 minutes, chilled. A straw yellow color. Lots of minerality and lemon citrus on the nose. The medium to plus bodied palate showed stone fruit, lemon and minerality, with very nicely balancing acidity, and a medium+ finish. Overall, this bottle was a bit subdued compared to previous vintages that we have enjoyed. Maybe this wine was overchilled? Maybe it's just vintage variation. Either way, we will give our next bottle more air time, and less chill.

Color: medium gold Nose: white peach and apricot. Hazelnut and sourdough, faintly. Lemon, anise, flint and minerals aplenty. Orange flowers Palate: hint sweet, medium body and medium acidity. Confirms the nose with the apricot and mineral and anise, but what is truly outstanding here is the power. Just pops out the glass, and no barrel at all. Best white in a long time for intensity Finish: long Amazing intensity. This is a meditazione piece at room temp, and a great …

Ar eal nice wine made from for me unknown grape varieties. Floral notes, round, hint of bitter. An enjoyable though not impressive wine, too expensive.

Univinum wine fair (@EDEKA Ueltzhöfer, Heilbronn) : *** Short notes and impressions from a wine fair *** My friends were quite enthusiastic about this wine. Nice, ripe pear and mellow apple on the nose. Dry, salty mineral notes, ripe fruit. For me it lacks a bit of complexity and length. PQR is highly questionable. NR.

drank at Piora in NYC floral and tropical fruit nose. It's a fuller styler but the there's enough acidity and sea saline to keep things balanced and highly enjoyable. superb example from the amalfi coast and the finest wine that Marisa Cuomo produces. I love it

93-94. As good as last time I tasted. Special wine. Great depth of fruit, but balanced with salinity, minerals and acid. Light Oyster shell...cam tell grapes grown near the sea. Lush and long, long finish. Tropical fruits which slowly fade into the background. Golden hue. Heavier and viscous wine, but not clawing. A joy to drink. Punches well above its price point. Always buy if find.

Dinner w/ The Wine Group (Antipasto at our place; Dinner at Gloo Bistro) : Our Wine Group consumed two bottles of this wonderful wine with a fine spread of antipasto, before going out to dinner. Agree with NNV, "Rich, round, pronounced fruit, tropical, lush, but balanced with enough acidity to make it very pleasant." An incredible blend of 3 native Italian grapes: Fenile, Ginestra and Ripoli. A solid "go-to" Italian white.

Really like this wine. Very easy to drink. Rich, round, pronounced fruit, tropical, lush, but balanced with enough acidity to make it very pleasant. Not terribly cerebral or intense but just very harmonious and a pleasure to drink. Big wine but delicate enough that will not overpower food. An exciting and gorgeous wine to try.

Just coravined an ounce. From Campania I would have expected Falanghina, Greco or Fiano to make up most of the blend. But this is three grapes I never heard of: 30% Fenile, 30% Ginestra and 40% Ripoli. So I haven't a clue what to expect from this. Floral and stone fruit on the nose. Herbal and stone fruit on the palate. Medium + body and acidity. Fairly long finish. This was PNP; should try some aeration next time. It grew …

Full bodied, buttery, yet silky smooth. Incredibly aromatic with tropical fruit and macadamia nuts. Almost a glycerin texture Great with sea bass and asian vegetables, and with seafood pasta, and with salmon. Probably would be great with roasted chicken or heavier foods as well. I'm going to buy a bunch more.
