Castle Rock Pinot Noir Reserve Russian River Valley

Color is very light violet as expected Nose is a tart cherry,very Pinot. taste at first is very tart cherry but after breathing it mellows to smooth strawberry, cherry Finish is a nice smooth cherry but not tart

I like the Willamette Pinot because to the thin delicate nose and taste. The more expensive Pinot's get very jammy and complex. But the Castle Rock is a good solid offering with a nice berry taste with an oak lingering flavor. Nose is light and slightly spicy but not over powering. Always a good West coast Willamette Pinot and a very nice price.

Lite garnet color. Hermitage-esque smell with a hint of vanilla and black pepper. Some strawberry juice. Notes of underripe raspberries, vanilla, and green bell pepper.

Very enjoyable Pinot Noir with cherry & cooked plum smells and flavors. Great QPR here, a 4 star value.
