This wine is tasting very nicely at this point in it's development. Rich, smooth with dark fruit, earth and just enough garigue to keep the heaviness of it in check (15%). I might have rated it even higher, except that the ripeness is becoming noticable....

Great Garrique! Smooth, balanced, deep, notes of olives, savory, rosemary, lavender, dark plummy fruit and lovely silky tannins. Drinking very nicely right now. I agree with others - as nice as it is right now I don't see it getting a whole lot better in years to come so enjoy on the sooner side of "sooner or later....."

Previous TN applies but this is getting ready to be a "drink now" proposition. More black olive this time around -- very northern rhone-ish -- and I'd say the fruit is settling back overall. Still a terrific value and unique treat from garagiste and Olivier B!

What the recent five comments said, in particular WORMFARMER. I also picked up tobacco and pipe smoke in addition to the intriguing interplay between very deep, almost too ripe, fruits and floral notes, candied chocolate coated violets and blackberry. This really walks the line.

Fine-grained tannins, deep black-blue fruit, black tea, dried blueberries, chocolate-covered goji berries, yum. Wish I'd bought more. That said, I think the drinking window is overstated here: I'd hit this in the next year or two, tops. It's in perfect shape now and I can't see how this will improve a lot further.

Ideasthatstick is spot on here. This is a real explosion of fruit and terroir that really blew me away. Brambly and rich while always maintaining balance. A little funkiness too. For $20 this is a stunner that is well worth every penny. Thanks garagiste for the recommendation!

Okay, the '10 was just great, the '11 is on par. A long cool drink of, well really nice wine. I love the grainy tannins, I love the dark dark color I love the terroir all over this. I love that it's drinking beautifully now. This stuff has so much going for it. Hint of oxidation in that the fruit tastes slightly prune-like. Excellent earthy notes, jammy dark red fruit, hints of anise, and a little something else I can't put my finger on just yet, but it's savoury.

Wow — what a wine! Very distinctive. Rich, ripe Grenache fruit with earthy Syrah notes too. I loved the tannins in this wine. While they were somewhat loosely-knit and very present, they were also quite smooth and added an interesting textural component to the wine.
