Nose of ripe raspberries, earth, choclate and coffe. In the mouth its a delicate wine with looong fruity taste, balanced acidity and tanins. Hints of eucalyptus indicates its Australian heritage.

Consumed over 2 days. On day 1 it was quite thin, lacking length and depth. On day 2 it had put on some weight and the edges had smoothed out nicely. A good enough pinot which needs a lot of air but far from top shelf.

This bottle was actually a little on the sweet side for me. Not sure quite why I opened this one only six or seven months after the last bottle given it is still such a pup but there you go. Reasonable structure, palate shows strawberries (not my favorite Pinot profile) and red cherries with some background cedary oak. Good acid and tannins but there are many better examples from Monington than this one.

Nice savory profile, firm yet fine tannins but a little on the stalky side for me. Oak works in well and I feel that this just perhaps needs a little more time. Fruit not as bright as I was expecting so maybe in an awkward stage of it's development.
