It's as if someone juiced a Granny Smith apple, and removed the sugar. Very tart.

Fruit, acidity to balance. Medium body. Good, a crowd pleaser; Confident it will be good for a good two more years. The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle.

Assez sec, ce jurançon est élevé à la fois en foudre et en fût. Fait de Gros manseng, petit manseng et petit courbu c`est floral et citronné, le tout bien frais et digeste, impeccable et tonifiant.

Riesling-like exotic nose. High acidity. Pink Grapefruit and underripe pineapple. Comes across as noble and seems like it would age nicely. Plenty of depth and complexity here from a little-known region for dry whites.

Very expressive nose. Honey-soaked fried bread with a big hit of very pure, overripe tropical fruit (mango and nearly decaying honeysuckle?). On the palate this has huge juicy acidity, ripping citrus but sweeter fruit, too. Waxy, oily-aromatic through the back-end. Finished tingly and warm. This wine made me smile. £19.50.

Bright gold color, honey nose, but slightly sour first sip. Think I waited too long on this one, it just tastes off. If you're still holding on to a 2011, sad to report it's past its prime and on the rapid decline. Damn.

Strong humidor/cedar notes. Paired suprisingly well with chicken Parmesan with basil fettuccine and marinara.

Delicious as expected from this source. Colour quite deep yellow. Nose expressive and quite floral with passion fruit, pineapple, wax and minerals. Medium+ bodied dry palate with juicy fruit, minerals, crisp acidity and underlying tender slightly honeyed notes suggesting a sweet wine trying to emerge. Good length and backbone and moreish with treacherously discreet alcohol (14%). Very good.

This is a lovely wine that many will dismiss if they drink it too young. These are quite unfriendly when first bottled, and need a few years to begin stretching their wings. Expressive nose of beeswax, honey and lemon curd, with white flower notes coming out with air. On the palate, it is both lively and creamy, with plenty of sweet fruit, though not a hint of RS. It handles its relatively high alcohol well, and does not come across …

Heavy but pleasant. Definitely got the humidor note which was interesting. Not totally my style but worth a try.

Seepage almost all the way up the cork, but the wine does not seem to have been affected. I agree that this is a touch on the heavy side, but it's not bad as a change of pace. A touch of sweetness with ripe pineapple on the nose. The humidor notes on the palate are fantastic, but interestingly I found them strongest shortly after opening and they seem to have largely blown off by nights 2 and 3. Good but …

The color of dandelion wine. Nose of powdered ginger, citrus peel, also something smoky and floral. I like smelling it. Medium body. Fruity. Medium acidity. Long finish. 14% alcohol! -- I can't drink a lot of this.

Quite floral. Honeysuckle again. Ripe. A little top heavy. Finishes a little short. ***

Lovely sweet-smelling nose of candied orange and candle wax. Then a broad palate with lively acidity. There's a hint of richness through the mid-palate but it finishes dry.

Rich dark colour. Dried citrus, marmalade, Christmas spices. Clean acidity, refreshing finish. Very food friendly; different; really very nice.

Attractive nose of citrus fruit, minerality, smoke and peach. Medium-bodied with vibrant fruit and crispy acidity. Long aftertaste. Incredibly food friendly, paired nicely with a vast array of dishes including some considered as wine killers like salted anchovies.

This is a blend of mostly Gros and Petit Manseng offering peach and minerals in the beginning progressing to smoke and green almonds with time. Medium full bodied on palate with refreshing acidity, intensity of flavours and long finish. Approachable already seems to have potential to improve over the next 3-4 years. Good value wine at £15.
