Should have been drunk 9 years ago according to WS tasting notes which highlights the difficulty of predicting drink by dates. Mouth filling and complex. Figs and preserved fruit come to mind which is not surprising considering its age. A tad sweet, confected perhaps but would stand its own in a blind tasting of top end mature Burgundies. It’s sweetness might give it away though. A monumental bargain at £11 albeit that was ten years ago.

Floral bouquet, vanilla, cherries. Medium body and acidity. raspberries taste. Strong pepper nose when poured which vanishes quickly though.

Well made, but some will not like. A bit crunchy, with light-med body, white flowers on the nose, good fruit following the acidity, and some dark notes on finish. A bit hot and comes off floral and "soapy" to me. Not a personal fave, but worth the price.

Clear light red with a pale edge. Real pinot nose, full with a big farmyard component and bright fruit. It tastes very new world- more so than the nose leads one to imagine. Sweet with chewy fruit and a bit of spritz on the tongue that morphs into a long meaty finish. The spritz never fades - faulty?

Very good with characteristic herbs and red fruit on the nose. Solid structure with cran-raspberry and hints of pepper. Simple finish.

Pretty nose of red fruits; smooth, full-flavored palate, slight bitterness. A good QPR for pinot at $20.

Not big, not very complex. Just a very good juicy Pinot with good acid. Cool style Pinot with loads of rasberry and strawberry fruit. Great QPR, paid 99,-kr (about 18 USD). Very drinkable. Nice one. Will buy again fore casual everyday drinking!

Clever, very pretty nose. Fresh and easy palate. Touch of tension making it more drinkable. Lively spice character too. Lightly fruited but sweet and charming at the same time. Quite good at $21.

dark side of the cranberry fruit. present and wonderful delicate spice all over the finish of this one. Elegant use of oak to the palate. more of an accent than a presense.

not really displaying that meaty concentrate I've found in other Marlborough Pinot Noirs. Waxy black cherry fruit profile and quite peppy on the palate. not really menthol or mint. the palate does display a hint of pepper. nice and approachable structure. lively acid. maybe it's lack of concentrate is a product of the insanely high yielding 2008 vintage.
