TIME Estate Winery White Meritage

I picked this up on a whim and a BC wine this old still being sold intrigued me. Interesting wine; I often see people describing wines as having melon flavours/aromas and not understood it, but the melon is pretty definite here. It reminds me a bit of an unoaked chardonnay. Nice body but no big flavour statement, a good side-kick wine. It let my app of garlic butter shrimp kebabs stand up and be noticed rather than push them aside …

Floral notes, a bit soapy.

Another British Columbia wine from Canada. On nose: melon rind and faint oak. On palate: a follow through of above flavours in addition to hay , hints of almonds , tangerine peel and lemon curd ...the oak also becomes more pronounced as it comes to room temperature.....fairly heavy handed due to high alcohol ( 13.9%)....lacks acidity , but pleasant ....not an ager , drink over the next year.
