Popped and poured. Nice nose and palate complexity but a bit weak on both, smooth and easy to drink.

During a 2012 Burgundy blind tasting dinner. Overall the vintage showed quite tannic still and with a wide dispersion between the top names and lesser known Domains. Definitely drink the 2013 and 2014 before the 2012 and stick to quality producers. TN: I recently had the stellar 2011 Le Montrachet from this producer and it blew us all away, so I had high expectations for this. They were not matched as I expected a wine that can easily play in …

2011 was the first vintage Louis Jadot used DIAM corks for all their whites. Evidently this bottle is still extremely primary and reductive. White orchard fruits with ample toasted wood spices. Glossy and full bodied with slightly high alcohol on the finish (close to 14%?). Typical Batard Montrachet oily texture and weight. Drink now – 2041. (90/100)

Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of light lemon colour, with wide watery rims and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of citrus fruit of lemon, green fruit of pear, stone fruit of peach, kernel notes of almond, floral notes of acacia, autolytic notes of yeast, sweet spice of ginger, mineral notes of stony and saline, maturity notes of truffle. The wine is developing. Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium alcohol, medium body …

Bottled in DIAM cork. This 2011 Louis Jadot Batard Montrachet offers impressive freshness and consistency thanks to DIAM. Supple nose of ripe tree fruits, smooth toasty wood, lemon curd, and fresh olives. Fragrant oak spices and oily texture. Full bodied with lovely nuances. Spicy finish. Drink now to 2040. (90/100)

No detailed notes taken. Rich youthful color, touch of very classy oak on the nose. Warming but not totally obtrusive alcohol on the palate, excellent acidity, reasonable depth and complexity. Quite nice with food, just a touch New World-ish. To drink or hold. 13.5% abv

Popped and poured. Nose was nice but palate was a bit sleepy. No change over a couple hours.

Complex aromatics of candied pear, white peach, dried flowers and minerals. Rich, dense and sappy. Good fidelity. Excellent length.
