This wine totally blew me away the first time I had it. This round I'd still say very good. Drank next to a '98 Domaine Laurent and it was interesting to me how similar the wines were. The difference came a bit in level of acidity - there was a touch more lightness towards the end of the Laurent and in fruit where this had lovely cranberry and other red fruits and the Laurent was savory only. A wine that …

Random Tuesday night (Tipsy Tuesday?) (Riverpark) : Opened and decanted and I think I went to it a bit too fast. When first poured it was still a bit stiff. Quicker finish and more fruit dominant than anything else but with some time it opened up quite a bit and get more umami along with the fruit and some leather and just a more complete wine. My favorite of the three Pinots. If drinking now would give it a longer …

This bottle showed a bit more age than the last bottle, although it's still drinking amazingly well. Where the last bottle maintained its brightness, this one showed a bit more earth integrated in with the still-present raspberry and baking spices. This is a fantastic wine, and still feels as though it's got a couple years of life left.

Amazing wine. Seriously expensive for sure--but wow. Cranberry, strawberry, baking spices. A plethora of complex spices and a nice long finish. This is still drinking fabulously and should last at least a couple more years. When you want to splurge on a Willamette Pinot Noir, here's your choice.

Wedding weekend wine tasting! (Willamette Valley) : This wine was a straight up 'wow' for me. It was just spectacular. My wine of the trip (although the '02 Monogram was really close). There's cranberry and spice and so many more flavors that I can't quite pick them all out. It's soft and smooth and tastes a bit young, but also like it's pulled together. I was just blown away by this. The drinking window in CT (which says drink by …

A couple more years of age, and it's getting more complex. More going on. Still not a typical pinot, but getting there. Fruit still very primary, very long finish, very versatile wine. At the dinner table some had fish, some meat, but all liked the wine with their choice.

one of the best Pinot Noirs I have ever had. Great dark cherry flavors.

Another beautiful bottle. Still hard to identify this, blind, as a pinot, as it is so deeply colored and intensely flavored, but it is a very nice wine. Went beautifully with beef brisket in a sauce that was tomato dominated but lots of other flavors also This is a very versatile pinot. Not sure I think it's worth it's price point, but I do love the wine.

San Antonio Wine Geeks - The Gathering without Steves (or how we found Lafite) (The Monterey) : Ripe nose, with lush cherry and licorice notes with a little earth. Pleasant with a slight floral aspect. Palate is smooth and concentrated, slightly sweet fruit, but enough acidity to keep it fresh. Lengthy cherry and earth on the finish. Nice depth and complexity though nothing to make this a distinct Oregon pinot for me, still a very good one. 91-92

Finally coming into it's own. Showed beautifully after about an hour. Gorgeous color, nose jumped right out of the glass, acidity very low, but the flavors overcame that. Did not go as good with any food, but on it's own, it was a very nice pinot. Still lots of life left.

This bottle did not live up to the hype. I was expecting it to taste similar to other Oregon pinots. We had this wine at dinner and did not allow it time to open up before we drank it. Very tight. Nice nose. It has a good level of acidity which I was not expecting. It was very mellow and easy to drink. Nothing really stood out to make this bottle a star. I was very subtle and delicate and …

Pebble Beach Food and Wine; 3/27/2008-3/30/2008 (Pebble Beach Resort, CA) : Closed nose. Palate was fruit forward and typical, light bodied. Saved by a long finish that maintains fruit, petrol, mineral and heat as in balance. An interesting wine, would try again in a couple of years.
