When I first tried this wine, the aromas were spot-on to a Biscoff cookie. However, tasting a second bottle that has faced significant hardship on the road (i.e. suitcase travel from Italy and poor storage) has changed the profile of this wine remarkably. The nose maintained notes of spice, namely pepper and cinnamon, but lacked the complexity that I noted upon first tasting.
