This wine is still amazingly vibrant and fresh. If this bottle would not be coming from my own cellar, I would have doubted the correctness of the vintage on the label! Deep ruby colour almost black at the core, little signs of ageing.. Intense aromas of ripe black fruit, liquorice and cedar wood with hints of pepper dried herbs that evolve in the glass. Very nice winter weekday lockdown wine. Remember this wine when young with his monster tannins. Now everything is nicely in place. Bouquet of blackberries, thyme and some black truffles. Still quite young and full bodied, this blockbuster aged gracefully. Something which doesn’t always work for other high rated young wines. Can still be enjoyed over the next 5 years.

Weekly tasting group RWP #335; Some random wines (@ My place) : Beautiful, complex and impressive bouquet with ripe blackberries and cherries. On the palate the same fruits, juicy and tasty and still remarkably youthful. Some eucalyptus and a pleasant touch of sweetness. Beautiful and full bodied with round tannin. Opened a Magnum for Santa Claus Dinner - very dark ruby color - long legs - nose fruity with mediteran herbs - complex and powerful with blackberry and hints of leather - long finish; this wine is in perfect condition and I don't think it will improve!

Dark red, black core, blue shimmer, edges showing maturity --- Nose elegant wood notes, flowery aspects, some red fruit, overall fresh --- Palate smooth, vivid, nice acidity, herbal notes, clove, laurel, cherries, amarena, some plum, shy wood notes, sourness --- Finishes on tart and fruity aspects. Nice vine, appears young. My last bottle, wished I had 3 more to follow its future development.

Blatantly modern, but really excellent. Dark and massively concentrated, great smooth tannins, fine acidity, tar, asphalt, blackberries and redcurrant, mocca, nougat and dark chocolate - a wild potpourri of flavors. Great length and most of all: not a hint of age. An impressive wine for those who seek power over finesse and it still has many years of life ahead. Similiar in style to Austrian winemaker Scheiblhofer. - 92 points

Very impressive nose, you can just smell it and enjoy - lot of dark aromas. The taste is similar. Dark fruits some spice and lot of power with a good final. But I missing something like vibrations or finesse and there is a gap just before the final. All together a very good wine but not a perfect one. If You like this style you will give 92 - 94 points.

Also in the mouth a lot is happening/changing after the wine had more airtime. Opened to celebrate Easter with friends, I expected the wine too be round and ful bodied, almost like an alcholic juice of fruit. In other words I wanted my friend like this wine more than me.....actually I found too much oak, too much mature with a bitter final. Luckly this was the last bottle.
