Ch. Tahbilk Special Claret 1984 - excellent stuff = at a similar class to the guigal cote rotie 1985. game, pepper and delicious aged complexity - in great shape a point.

David and Pascale's wine team dinner. Excellent wine. Very barnyardy and Rhoney. The closest Aussie wine to a Hermitage. Tannic structured multidimensional. After breathing its origins became a little clearer - but only a little. Save the next one for a while. Good value. One week later - lots of burnt rubber very tannic - but fine grained. Some herbal qualities. Excellent wine but definately Australian on balance due to the American oak. I like the structure.
