Château de Lancyre Pic Saint-Loup

this is 14 years old and bought on release and stored cold. still with a dark red edge. wonderful structure and tannin with good acidity and length. drank it with tom after 11 years. this wine could easily go another 10 years. the style reflected the warm year (no this year doesn't seem so warm but it was then).

This one a bit better than in April, but still time to drink these.

Kind of boring. Cork soaked, although not all the way through to the top. Little nose, even after hour plus of decanting. Out of bottle, not much structure, some fruit but not enough. Probably should have had this bottle a couple of years ago, I would guess.
