Radford Dale Chenin Blanc

Pleasant surprise! Reminds me of aged savennieres. Stinky (maybe some brett?) at first, plus mineral/ocean nose, medium mid palate and a long dry finish with some pleasant bitter notes. Not at all the nondescript fruit bomb I was expecting. Also not at all manufactured tasting. Instead, some hints of wild. Wow! Possibly my favorite South African wine to date. P.S. Stinkiness blew off quickly, which makes me think it was reductive rather than Brett based.
