So good. A bit distinct from more textbook producers of Alsace riesling. More tropical fruits and less petrol/flinty notes. Very nice acidity with a touch of sweetness. Not the longest nor the most intense especially compared to let's say, a Clos St Hune. Still very delicious!

The Riesling is better than the Pinot. Interesting. Floral. Tea. Floral. Sweet. Gets better but a bit sweet But I don’t love Riesling in general

Bit shy on opening, but definite potential. Showing good intensity of ripe fruit, slightly oily texture, but with very good acidity. Slight cidery note on opening but disappears quite quickly. Would love to see where this goes in 3-4 years

Yura Riesling “Le Silence et la Résonance” 2023 is a biodynamic, single-vineyard Riesling from Gueberschwihr in Alsace, grown on limestone soils. It opens with vibrant aromas of oyster shell, citrus peel, orchard fruit, and a distinctive tangerine note. The palate is silky, fresh, and mineral, with razor-sharp acidity and a layered, elegant structure. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in a mix of stainless steel (50%), new demi-muids (25%), and ceramic (25%), it’s a wine of tension, purity, and aging …

Lidt sky næse med fersken iste, en snert af petroleum, modne gule æbler. I munden samme fersken iste og gule æbler. Næsten lidt squash. Medium syre, medium fylde. Åbner pænere op med tid i glasset. Savner lidt syre og friskhed for at det bliver rigtigt stort. Ved siden af Cossard Feel Good Savagnin, er den noget mere sky og underspillet. Mere elegant og mindre in your face. Edit: dag 2 Mere ekspressiv petroleum, limeskal og næsten lidt grillet kød-marinade. Stadigvæk …

Peach oolong on the nose - could’ve just sat there smelling it all night. Was scared to taste it in case the palate didn’t live up, but luckily it did. Everything’s in check here. No pokey acid, no heat, no edges - just glides off the palate, giving you more of a sensation than a taste. You get wines from Alsace where something usually sticks out - either the grapey aromatics from Muscat, the sharp acidity from Riesling or the …

Hong Kong Pearl of Burgundy wine trip; 1/16/2025-1/19/2025 : Rather ripe and tropical, quite sweet for Alsace. Meh.

The one in Hong Kong (POB/Marmo) : Melon, honeysuckle and petrol dominate the bouquet. Some warmth and alcohol on the palate while showing a little bit awkward. Needs time?

2015 and 2020 Retrospective Lunch (mostly magnum) (Marmo Bistro) : Good aromatics, viscous on the palate offering fresh orange peel with good acid. Hard to point Riesling if blind.

A blend from a number of sites, organic viticulture, fermented and aged on the lees for 10 months in a combination of steel and wood, unfined, low sulfur. This is a brilliant young Riesling, even better than the 2022. Just like the best German Rieslings in this vintage, it is an energy bomb, with lovely tension between succulent stone fruit and vibrant acidity, peach skin texture, fragrant flowers on the nose and a hint of bricky warmth, oyster shell and …
