Gourmetklubbens femtiosjunde middag hemma hos P+H: Tema Italienskt (P+H, Södermalm) : Lovely maturing nose showing honey sweetness, ripe apples and some citrus flowers in a nice and pleasant way. I pop the cork and the fruit jumps out. Never had such a concentrated fruit aroma on opening a sparkler. Nose and front palate are totally dominated by very intense yellow stone fruit. There are hints of vanilla and caramel right after the boost of fruit and then...., then there's nothing. The flavours are all condensed on the front taste buds and then they disappear. Pale straw color with fine, relaxed bubbles. Nose: pear, toffee, toasty biscuit. Mild effervescence on the palate: caramel apple with notes of smoky toast, lemon peel, and honeysuckle. Good focused acidity. Chalky, slightly oceanic minerality coming through on the clean finish. A little on the short side. A relatively complex, tasty bubbly. Excellent value.

Light, atonal and a touch astringent this was a cacophony mess of bitter lemon, dish soap and green apple notes. While perhaps better with food, this lacked both the balancing sweetness and required structure to stand on its on it own.

Absolutely awesome QPR at $7. Drinks at 2 or 3X it's price. Dry, nice minerality. Doesn't taste over-dosed. Reminded me a bit of a Cava. I will definitely buy this again.

Aroma of green apple, peach, hint of vanilla. Palate has apples peaches, some sweetness, slight bitterness on the finish that disappears with food. Drank this with Spanish cuttlefish chickpea stew. Nice combo. This was a real value.

I have had this sparkler before and it is pretty tasty (esp. at this price point), but as it was new years i 'm not able to gove an accurate tasting not at this time! This is my current house bubbly.
