After almost three weeks in Africa, I was dying to taste something from home, even mass produced Napa Cab. This wine is simple syrup and a glass full of blueberries and and creme de cassis. Simple, sweet, and basic. But after what I’ve been though the past few weeks… delicious.

Blackcurrant quite dominant on the nose. Nice deep red colour. Tannins still quite pronounced. Good Napa wine for the price I paid.

A muted nose of some fruit, garnet in color. A medium to full bodied red, not much to say other than it was pretty bad, no fruit, no taste, overpriced. www.winelx.com

Actually not to bad at all. Full fruit, rounded, gets the job done.

The most forgettable wine I have had this year. Wine by committee. No structure at all. Fruit is so overexposed that it saturates your mouth after two or three sips. You can do so much better....

That is darn grapey. Really bright Cabernet. REally pronounced I should say. Can't argue with that i guess at its price.

Black and red fruits. Medium tannins. Decent drinking wine.

Black Cabernet fruit and a touch of pickle juice. Just a touch. Palate is a touch turgid.

By the glass at the BA lounge JFK. Freshly opened is our best guess. Quite a dark fruited nose to the point we had to check this was not a merlot, more in that direction than anything else, rich firm dense but with a touch of an out of sync dark fruit side . Not sure about this. 87

Very hot, need to let sit for a few minutes. Loses most flavor by the second day, need to finish on the day you open it

Big mouthful. Young; red fruit. Nutmeg. No faults. Very balanced. Nice dry somewhat shorter finish. Great every day cab!

Rich and dark. Nose of white pepper, stew meat, and was slightly green...good body and mouthfeel, but a little basic. Nothing out of the ordinary, but nothing wrong either. Left no lasting impression.

The wine had a Redish-Purple hues than ran to a pinkish rim. Solid core but not opaque. There was lots of Cherries, raspberry fruits with some cassis and vanilla on the nose. On the palate there were soft tannins with black cherries and a hint pepper. The wine had a medium + finish and was true to the alcohol (14%). Overall i think this vintage has been very good and great value! I have had some others, 10' and 12' …

Nice! Not a great value at Canadian price of $37.99, but not a bad little wine.

Great strong nose of redwood and oaky vanilla, with a bright acidic cherry strawberry smell...Tastes very minty and hervacious with a dark stone fruit and blackest black current flavors....INKY indeed...thouch green and well balanced but not impressed with the oaky dry cedary finish....wouldnt be suprised if these are Rutheford and Stags Leap Grapes...

Surprisingly good. Nice, balanced, restrained value cab at $20. Pop and pour, of course. Not a big nose. On the palate this was a beautiful, young bottle of napa cab. Plenty of fruit but sharply ending at plenty...not over done at all. Juicy acidity, amazing really. This kept the wine lively, not heavy at all. Judicious use of oak...there but not there. Decent finish, not too long but price appropriate...actually more than price appropriate. This is a killer bottle of …

Nowhere near past its drinking window. Left this in the display row because I liked the labe, but finally drank because it was past its' window. Would expand window for a few more years. Very delightful at this time.

A venture between Frank Family Vineyards and Rombauer begun in 1996. A blend of 89% Cab Sauv, 6% Merlot and 5% Cab Franc, aged 18 months in used French oak, half used once, half used twice. Dark garnet color. Faint earthy notes, along with plum and blackberry. Much bigger mouthfeel than the Shooting Star and Bonterra. Dark fruit flavors, chewy tannins. Finish is a bit short.
