The wine shows a small ruby core with alot of fading and bricking towards the outside, shes showing her age. On the nose there are sour red cherries, plums, cassis, and black olives. Its not a huge nose, needed a little work to bring out its best and in an unusual fashion the it quickly drops off. The body is light medium, acidity has balanced out (previous notes suggesting quite high), and tannins are silky smooth, the finish is medium …

Wonderful bouquet. Very smooth and fruity initial palate of black fruits following onto eucalypts and licorice finishing with some balanced tannins & acid. There’s still another year or two left in this.

Lovely wine but still a bit too early. Has the early tang of youth then settles into the expected maturity of this wine. Decanted an hour so think it just needs 3-5 more years in bottle

Still a bit young. Would wait 3-5 years

Brief note. Decanted and drank over 2 days. Initially plenty of oak on the nose, but subdues with greater air time. Layers of rich fruit with a long lingering finish on a pretty full bodied palate. Definitely in its youth, and will reward cellar time. Overall, very enjoyable.

Screwcap. Decanted 3 hours. Palate shows intense flavours of black olive, cassis, and vodka. Tannin is faded. Acidity is strong, and provides a good counterpoint to the concentrated fruit flavour. The high alcohol on the label (14.5%) is very apparent on the palate: it's not unpleasant, but it's unbalanced.

Powerful nose of root beer, date, and coffee, with an emerging note of red fruit cordial. Palate shows bright, tart acidity predominant over firm, polished tannins. Bright flavours of blackberry and red cherry, with background notes of campfire smoke and cassis.

Not a wine to enjoy. Slightly sweet fruit, soft and rounded, but with a menthol, eucalypt under-note. Not pleasant really. It didn't feel like a flaw, though that might be my ignorance. I enjoyed the last bottle but not this one, so I am confused. I have one bottle left and don't know if I should keep it or sell it. I will probably keep it (cos I'm an idiot) and hope that when I drink it I enjoy as …

I enjoyed this wine. Plums, cherries, red fruits on the palate. Very crisp flavours. There's a point in the mid palate where the acidity kicks in and its like the fruit ends sharply. I find that interesting and attractive. Still primary flavours so some time in front of it, but drinking very well now.

Well balanced, full-bodied Cab from Australia, let it open for about an hour, surprisingly crisp and slightly tannic upfront, long, complex finish
