Dave E Wine Dinner - Oct 2025 (Q by Peter Chang) : Very dense red fruit initially on the nose, framed by hints of smoke and olives. Ripe strawberry character. Palate is more tannic and spiced, fruit character is somewhat receded.

Very delicious and enjoyable. PnP and it developed nicely over the evening. Took about 1 hour to wake up. Not very much fruit concentration but a great minerality and a very precise style. Love it. 93P

Krug GC 162-169eme (Chicago, IL) : Stupendously good -- I think Lignier absolutely killed 2010. This is perfumed and light on top of the archetypal Lignier weight. Very perfumed, with lovely red fruit and a generous hint of spice as well. Wonderful texture too, this is silky with no harshness at all.

Very dumb and inexpressive on opening but blossomed after 6 hours of air. Needs time or lots of air

An exact, precise and highly perfumed nose of cherry, rose petal and blueberry. It has delicious fruits, underpinned by vibrant acidity. Texture is fine and lacy and it possesses outstanding persistence.

It had a highly perfumed aroma of fresh flowers, red berry, cherry and mineral. It was fresh and airy in the mouth, with deliciously sweet fruits and nice acid cut. It is only a mid-weight wine but balance is excellent and it has great finesse.

Tasted over two days. Medium red. Initially, pure aromas of vanilla, almost confectionary, dominated. This gave way to some other cherry and spice notes with air. Silky on the palate with lovely red fruit, spices and harmonious acidity. Really nice stuff. But at $120/bottle, I had hoped for much much more in the way of that other worldly, multilayered, elegant, hedonism that I can only find in pinot from Burgundy. This was the first of 6 so I will get …

Another superb 2010 burg. Tart and sappy at first, but it rounds out quite nicely with some air. The texture is something else all together-- minerals wrapped in silk. Very good, and it should be even better with time.

Palais de Congres: Des Grands Vins de Bourgogne (Beaune) : Good pure raspberry/cherry fruit; tart acidity, nice medium light package.

This I really like. Fresh and transparent wine with some sensual red fruit and a lot of minerals. Very good.

De Chambolle à Morey - Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Gilly-les-Citeaux) : Wine tasting. My highlight of the Hubert Lignier 2010s tasted today. Big start with good spice along with red and black fruit. Leaner, textured, precise finish shows great finesse and potential. 92-93 point potential.
