Pelerin, Pelio Pinot Noir, Monterey

I liked it but it was a bit tight. Had an interesting almost Cab thing working with leather and cedar notes. I'm not sure if this gets better with any more age and was stingy on fruit notes.

Beautiful ruby color in the glass, nose is soft with hints of cherry and red berries, palate is elegant and balanced with notes of plum, dark cherry and black tea. Delicious.

Ruby color. Nose: black cherry, pomegranate, and black raspberry with accents of plum sauce, star anise, black tea, roses, dried maple leaf, river stone, and a touch of mocha. Medium body on the palate: black plum, pomegranate, and black cherry framed by star anise, black tea, rose petal, sumac, allspice, and minerals. Medium+ acidity. Moderate/lighter tannins. Lingering plum/cherry skin, allspice, black tea, sumac, and rose petal on the moderate/long finish. Lovely dark fruit tones with fresh focus and mineral/spice underpinnings. …
