Much more citrus in the flavor in this bottle, otherwise very similar notes as previous tastings. Citrus, tropical fruits, honey and floral in the nose. Lots of citrus in the flavor with hints of apricot and mango in the flavor. Rich, medium bodied, nice acidity, well balanced and a medium to long finish.

Hmm. Citrus is a little overwhelming in this bottle, maybe needed to chill more and open earlier. The Semillon not reqlly coming through at all, overwhelmed by what tastes like NZ sauv blanc. Not a huge fan of this one

Needs air and some patience chilling it in the fridge. The nose highlights the rich tropical fruit nose of a ripe California Sauvignon Blanc. The palate combines ripe mangos, a light creaminess from the malo, and viscous honey from the Semillon. This is a very well made bordeaux white blend, and exhibits the advantages of California fruit well.

Right out of the bottle there’s aromas of minerals and fresh flowers. Palate is very mineraly, grass, with a very sharp bite. For $46, this was an incredible white.

very ripe on the palate but still got some acidity to balance things out. Pretty damn sweet with vanilla and stone fruits, a very big and fragrant nose.

Didn’t open up until 1.5h after uncorking, but when it did, oh my how different it is from you average SB. I first tried this at Keller’s Bouchon in Napa a few years ago, then it was too young. Now it has a rich palette of apricots, almond, minerality and brioche. A great food wine.

From a 500ml bottle. Grassy nose with a bit of hay. Medium body with medium acid. Rich mouthfeel with apricots, pears, and a touch of honey, with an especially rich finish. Delicious.

very ripe, lots of tropical fruits like mango. Not too sweet on the palate. Still got acidity and a little grippy.

maybe my least favorite bottle of "on the white keys" grapefruit, tasted like a NZ SB

What a floral and expressive nose, rather large body but not as floral, I do taste some of the oak on this. Pretty complex for a SB/semillon blend. Note: this was tasted again out of the bottle @ Solbar in Calistoga (different bottle obviously), a few days later. It remained tasty, but not quite as vibrant / floral. This could have been due to the open air seating.

Surprisingly young at 12 years old. Great fruit, balance and mineral notes. Could go a couple more years too.

decanted upon opening. Surprising how dry it was on the palate at first. Highly aromatic nose, with acetone and almonds. Gradually developed toasty notes and became ripe and sweeter on the palate.

Sadly, this wine was WAY past its prime. Picked it up at closeout for decent price. It drank like a cheap Sautern, very oxidized and golden in color. Sad to say we had to dump it.

I am clearly at odds with my fellow tasters here on this one. I found it something of an abomination - a horrid blend of thick, sweetish, cloying grapes with absolutely nothing whatsoever standing out (good job blender!!) or providing direction. Just a smash up. Yech. Looking at the fact that Cellar Tracker shows 90 (!) bottles still in peoples cellars, please someone, let me know what's going on with this? Is it famous for coming together into that elusive …

I won this in a raffle at a trade show and it is a good wine... but seriously? $80 for a white blend? Total rip off for anyone that actually has to pay for this.

I detected pipi de chat in the first whiff, slightly pungent, which faded gradually. Very sweet and tropical, showing ripe peaches. Too ripe on the palate, which led to a somewhat bitter finish. Eventually notes of green apples and muscat emerged, typical of the dominant Sauvignon Blanc in the blend, as well as plenty of flint and minerals.

Pale yellow in color with high aromatics of fresh squeezed grapefruit and lemon with a hint of sweet fleshy flint, white pepper zest. Surprisingly round but bursting with acid on the long finish. Superb wine.

Very nice bordeaux-esque white. Solidly made wine. Long finish, good structure, acid, fruit. Everything present. Nothing overly interesting, though. So, I'm having a hard time justifying the price. Otherwise a lovely wine.
