This bottle was a lot better. Nice spice, still some cherry and some cola tastes, with definite notes of pepper. Good body overall, pleasant nose that says zin - with some earth and berry. Good moderate finish with some tannins to please. too bad it was my last bottle.

Nose: Big. Oak and a lot of pine. A little bit of a sour note. Pine and tomato. Taste: Still really tannic, needs more time. Not much going on, a little sour fruit note.

When pouring into decanter got heavy fruit smells, but after sitting for an hour turned into an earthy and maybe smoky note. Tastes of cassis and cherry. Nice Zin, be even better in another year.

Enjoyed this on Thanksgiving and everyone enjoyed it- it went fast! Aromas of tobacco, black fruits; medium tannins; flavors of blackberry, tobacco/coffee; a great wine and excellent value.

Deep, inky red color, with aromas to match. Intense blackberry, significant leather, spice box and pepper. Palate carries through the same impressions, emphasizing the dark fruit. Finishes relatively cleanly, with lingering tart cherry and just a little drying from the well-rounded tannins. Nothing jumps out as particularly striking, but everything plays very well together.

Inky ruby. Raspberry, pepper, and earth nose. Medium bodied, cranberries, pomegranites, sharp cherries, black pepper, sweet tannins, good acid, cedar, and a slightly sour medium+ finish. Drinks way above its price.

Very nice zin nose of dark berries. Palate was very similar. Decent structure and moderately long finish. Some of the heat evident on the first day had dissipated. Very nice QPR. Very enjoyable bottle.

Musty, thick, leathery aroma hiding the fruit. Very interesting. At times almost a burger smell. This is just off a pop, cellar temps. Makes you want to chew it up, and savor the puckering finish. Good stuff. I may add some to this review after the wine airs.
